The world's iconic actress, Dame Elizabeth Taylor, has died Wednesday morning in Los Angeles of complications from congestive heart failure. She was 79. Her four children were with her when she passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Dame Elizabeth's most famous films included National Velvet (1944), Cleopatra (1963) and Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? (1966). She has also won two Oscars for her role in Butterfield 8 (1960) and Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?

She was married eight times to seven husbands, including Richard Burton whom she was married to twice.
